The new feature film "You Can't Kill Stephen King" has just won the 2012 LAFF "Best Feature Film" award. For those of you who have been following Freight Train Films, Inc. and Bill McLean, that is the second time that Bill has been involved in a project that won the "Best Feature Film" award in as many years. Freight Train Films, Inc. has a Best Feature Film award for "Scooter McGruder, and Bill McLean has an acting credit, a stunt coordinator credit, a stunt credit, and a unit transportation credit in YCKSK, which is headed for Cannes on May 17th. When asked what is was like to be in two films that won Best Feature Film, Bill replied "Pretty Cool baby..."
Freight Train Films, Inc. was officially started 3 years ago in 2010. One of the only registered Maine film companies, they have had incredible success on the indie film scene. Their 2011 Award-winning film "Scooter McGruder" is now offifcially in a 1 week run at a national theater chain, Flagship Cinemas. The film will be showing twice nightly at 1:30 and 7pm from Friday April 27th right through May 3rd.
FTF, Inc. are now gearing up and are in pre-production for their next feature film titled "How to Kill a Zombie", it will be filming this fall. The funding is mostly in place and funds are arriving daily.
They will be casting for the film in the very near future - if you are an actor, and you want to work with a three-time award winning company - then make sure you make it to the audition at the Ramada Inn just off Exit 80 from the Maine Turnpike, this May 29th from 10:00am to 8:00pm...
