Brainstorming...

The way the site works is it's a "create a film by internet committee" kind of thing. Actors can post audition videos, and musicians can post music that the group will vote on. Songs that fair well in the voting stage could potentially end up in the film. (hint hint) 

Anyway, the film is apparently about some zombies that attack a community. Through their voting rounds they determined that the zombies would be defeated by a cheerleading squad. Hence, the above link will take you to my piece called "Attack of the Cheerleaders". I mixed some flesh eating sounds with pom pom swishes, feet stomping, and squad claps in an instrumental techno punk riff that I threw together. I wanted to create the imagery, through my opening sound design, that there was some creepy gory feasting going on... and then the cheerleaders show up and kick some zombie ass. You be the judge on whether or not I achieved that.

I hope I can pull off what I'm envisioning the next piece to be. I'll attempt it this week and post a follow up. Wish me luck!
