I don't pay much attention to the new movie releases these days since I'm so busy with my job, side gigs and trying to pay the bills and all.
But you'd think that being a member of a film community site that someone here would've been talking about it.
Come on at least a 100 or more OFS members worked on the thing and one of my dear friends is prominently seen in the trailer.
I've seen a few excited comments from different OFS folks on Facebook after having seen…

I had a very horrifying experience last Thursday when I work up.
(And no it wasn't seeing Mr. Ambello naked, lol!!!)
My 6yo Dell workstation I setup for editing died in the middle of a project.
So it was off to my favorite computer store to buy a replacement.
They had a really sweet HP Vista system for 479 that I bought and had in my apartment for less than 6 hrs before taking it back because none of my old editing software worked.
So I…

Yesterday my girlfriend Laurinda and OFS member Rob Pfiefer joined me on the set of "Indiana James and the Raiders of the Lost Shaker of Salt."
The film is a Indiana Jones parody with a bunch of Jimmy Buffett references thrown in.
We spent the day shooting various shots that make up the scene in which our hero finds the fabled Lost Shaker of Salt.
The highlight of the day (and probably the most scariest part of my career to date) was getting hoisted 20ft up the…

Well first off it means I'm almost twice the age of girls I'd like to date. (Ha-Ha!!!)
Next of course "35" (Thousand that is), is the final deal Jabba is willing to give Boushh (i.e. Princess Leia) for the capture of Chewbacca in "Jedi."
Let's see now (checking Wikipedia) Oh! It's the minimum age required to become President.
(In fact, it's also the number of words in the Oath of Office our dear leader just took.)
But all in all despite my "age" and…

Okay everyone (1-2-3) "AWWWWW!!!!!!"
Now that that's over here's the deal.
Last night I responded to a casting call for a new TV Land reality series about lost loves.
Basically the deal is they find your lost love you haven't seen in 10+ years and with cameras rolling you each show and tell your life to each other. Hopefully if all goes well and the two lost lovers get back together or at least we get to see someone humiliated when their ex reminds them how much…

Well I'll joining my friends from the Teseracte Players at the Arisia Sci-Fi Con next week.
They'll be performing Rocky Horror on Friday Night and doing 2 Buffy shows on Sunday.
I'll be taping it for them and getting passes to the con, I think.
Now to break out some yarn and start on that Tom Baker scarf or perhaps dig out my suedo Arthur Dent costume.
This ought to be fun!!!

From years of shopping in malls low expectations of customer service isn't even an issue anymore. (Especially if you find yourself trying to return something to the Danvers Best Buy.)
So I was pleasantly surprised that when a great computer megastore in the "People's Republic" was so helpful in fixing a mistake yesterday.
A friend of mine got a killer deal on a used Dell desktop. It's an Optiplex machine with a 3ghz processor, gig of RAM, DVDRW Burner and XP…

Earlier this week my script writing software stopped working.
I still can't figure out why. (If you must know it was CELTX.)
So wouldn't you know it, it crashed when i get the urge to write again.
Anyway, I was forced to write in wordpad just to get something on paper.
I'm happy with the results and hope I can get the tentative cast gathered for a table read.
The script is an episode of proposed webisode series I hope to produce with my…

So I'm planning to be shut up inside for the day so I thought I'd do some writting and guess what?
Celtx won't load and I've re-re-re-installed it.
Guess I have to use word pad and do it the old fashioned way.

Well winter's here, and as if things cant get any worse in NH, we have a little snow blowing around!!!
I was cruising home from work tonight and when I turned on my high beams I saw traces of that lovely white stuff.
I hear there's a storm poised to hit us on Friday, but I hope that's not the case. (Aren't mom's great for telling us bad news?)
Come on man let's not let a little Nor-eastah bother us! We've got a party going on @ Kowloon's Friday!!!

Well I can now add "webmaster" to my resume now!!!
I got a neat gig creating video sermon's for a local Unitarian Universalist Church.
The pastor is a very wonderful man and I look forward to helping their church spread their message via the web.
Now it is a bit odd being Buddhist and all to be taking such a gig but I think it's going to be a good opportunity for me to expand my work base.
I've been spending a few day re-desigining their audio page…

Well it's been a long time coming and thanks to the gig I got this weekend I could afford to buy another external drive.
It's partially for cleaining up my home file storage and also it'll help me to backup some of the files on my work computer so I clean it off in case other staff members erase my older files to make room for new stuff.
This is a very timely purchase since my work PC was fallen below 10% free space.
Next week I'm going to max out my PC's ram…

This weekend my partner in crime and I had the pleasure of shooting a High School B-ball event in R.I. for my firends at Nextplay.
The event was a weekend long gig in which we were put up and even fed by our employer.
As gigs go it was pretty easy, we took turns shooting games and manning a DVD recorder.
As a results of the shoot we each got some great footage to start compiling a videographer/DP reel.
Now if only I could get some raw footage I shot…

I finally after years and year got to see my old friend and former Ann & Hope pal Kevin Wynott in a production of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" in Salem last night.
I had a blast hanging out the cast and crew before and after the show.
I got the chance to record the show and I'm planning on joining the technical crew when they move to the Coolidge Corner Theater in January.
It should be a wild ride!!!!…

Well my friends at Nextplay.com needed more shooters this weekend for a b-ball training event in Derry so i took the gig.
I made a quick $100 for the weekend and now I can safety float through the next 2 weeks without dipping into my limited new savings.
I'm determined to save up for a new camera and editing suite for my studio.
With all the new opportunites that are slowly coming my way I don't need a lack of gear to slow me down.
As I've mentioned…

I was invited to two shows this week, Joe Satriani / Mountain at the Orpheum on Tuesday and Rick Springfield at the North Shore Music Theater on Friday.
It was a good time both nights but I gotta that Orpheum needs to pre-screen their volunteer ushers better. They were totally rude and lacked any customer service skills.
In the meanwhile Rick Spriingfield put on an amazing show with a lot of energy. I felt sorry for the crew at the NSMT since I don't think they were…

And it's name is?? You guessed it NORTON!!!!
I can now run all on my online apps it was blocking even after it was uninstalled.
I had to go over a friend's and download the Norton Removal tool there since my browser was being blocked from accessing the tool.
I'm able to use firefox, safari and chrome.
Thank God!!!
My next step was reloading XP if i couldn't get my PC back to full operating order.

Well I had the pleasure of attending the "Village People" show at the Topsfield Fair tonight and I will just say it was a fun night.
It was quite the family affair but not the "family" you'd expect for a Village People show, however inspite of the audience demographic that didn't seem to tone their show down at all.
They still said things like "let's take that funky monkey and spank it!!!"
Man what a fun show!!!!
They opened with a cover of Grand Funk…
