A Fantastic Weekend...

My writing partner and myself got together Thursday Night as well as Saturday during the day to work on the serial killer screenplay. We jumped right in and got 15-16 pages written in about 6 hours of work. We're on a good pace so far to get the first draft done by the end of July. I'm beginning to feel the value of so many versions of the treatment as that served as an exercise to get to know the characters. Treatment Version 3.01 wasn't a Home Run, but was a solid triple.

After last night's meeting we have what appear to be the final notes we need to move on to the actual scripting for the serial killer film. There were a few things that we disagreed with, but managed to find compromises that actually improve the story. Somethings that were extraneous will be eliminated in favor of other ways to heighten the sinister nature of the bad guy.

So we'll wrap up the changes to the treatment by this weekend and start on actual scenes in the script soon… Continue
