RC Productions announces its 2011-12 feature length project, Gilgamesh. The film is based loosely on Summerian myth and the Epic of Gilamesh (written BC). The film will be considered an 'epic', something that is rare in the indy film scene. Since the script is still being written, there are no actors attachted to the project. It'll be shot in 24p HD and have a half-way decent budget for an indy film produced locally. We are still looking for additional executive producers. Gilgamesh is a…

Filmmaker: New To Town...
Hello All!
I just signed up today, and I just wanted to write a first blog post to introduce myself. My name is Philip Magcalas, and I am a co-founder of "Milk and Cookie Productions," a local no-budget indie film production company. We're very much new to the game, having just made our first short a few years ago, and recently finished our second short, "Skin and Bone," a short medical ensemble drama. (Feel free to check it out - I just added my first video to this site,…

When casting Directors post a casting call it would help if.....
Every casting director includes the type of union casting.....IE SAG, NON-Union, Aftra, or both....
It would be helpful for some of us who are in the union who don't want to waste theyre time and ours goin on interviews, reads,, etc. to find out we cannot do it because of our union status. It get frustrating having to ask all the time. Maybe this website can put a casting call set up on the events that can list the type of calls with the union info. Thanks. :)
