About Me:
A native of Puerto Rico, Luz Alexandra Ramos has been an actress and broadcaster for over two decades. Luz began her career as a ballet/folkloric dancer for the First National Ballet of Puerto Rico. At a very young age, she was dancer in a popular television series and developed a rapidly growing fan base.

Utilizing her talent and endless drive, Mrs. Ramos embarked on a career in soap operas both in Puerto Rico and in the United States. From there she was able to become an active member of the Screen Actor’s Guild and cultivate her talent in both Independent and Feature Films such as, Next Stop Wonderland, The Newcomers, blue in the face, True Lies and The women. Coming out in the fall of 2009, “The Invention of lying” starring Ricky Gervais, Jennifer Garner and Rob Lowe, After.Life starring Liam Neeson, Christina Richie, Justin Long and Celia Weston and the independent feature “Four Single Fathers”. Luz also appeared in the second episode of the third season of the Showtime original series “Brotherhood” and has completed filming on “Fake” In addition to guest spots on Gossip Girl, One Life to Live and Guiding Light. Luz has done over 75 industrial films and training videos, in both Spanish and English and numerous voiceovers for clients including: AT&T, Cigna, IBM, United Way, and many more.

Luz Ramos has an acute understanding of acting as a business, and incorporated her love of broadcasting into her successful career. She has served as an anchor on the evening news for a Network affiliate station, has worked with ESPN on the domestic and international level; launching ESPN Deportes and also holds the title as the first Puerto Rican woman in the history of sports to ever broadcast an NFL game live from the field of play for ESPN Deportes. Mrs. Ramos is also a successful producer/ director and public speaker she created an international cooking show and a work-out video.

She is the Founder and President of “The New England Actors Group” which offers services such as headshots, video resumes and on camera training for those interested in pursuing a career in the Film and TV field located in Hartford, Ct. And id The chair of the Census committee for the State of CT.

Undoubtedly, Mrs. Ramos is and continues to be a force to be reckoned with, she is the embodiment of what Latino women in the broadcast and entertainment business strive to be.

Mrs. Ramos is married and a mother of three which she believes has been her “best work thus far. “

Karl here, I am a long-time SAG/AFTRA actor here in Boston.
This May 22nd, I am running a networking event for actors to meet with LA casting director, Toby Guidry, who just cast principle roles for Zemeckis and Spielberg, including Pelham 123 and Bride Wars which were shot here in Boston, and "Yellow submarine" which was just casting in Rhode Island. He is currently casting "The Hobbit (lord of the Rings, 2012) It is a great opportunity for us actors to get to know Toby. More about the seminar is here...
