About Me:
Jesse Richards is an award winning filmmaker, artist and photographer from New Haven, Connecticut. He was born with the neural tube defect spina bifida.

Richards studied filmmaking at the School of Visual Arts, New York, and studied fine art and photography at the University of Massachusetts. While in New York, he first began screening his films and performing poetry under the name “Space Cowboy” in the East Village at Faceboyz Open Mic at Collective Unconscious and Surf Reality, alongside other self-proclaimed “Art Stars” such as Rev. Jen, Nick Zedd, John S. Hall and John King. After returning to New Haven he directed plays including "Hamlet" and "Look Back In Anger" for the New Haven Theatre Company.

In 1999, he began painting, and in 2001 he joined the Stuckism art movement and began participating in exhibitions with them, most notably in “The Stuckists Punk Victorian” at the Walker Art Gallery during the 2004 Liverpool Biennial. Richards left the Stuckists in 2006. In July, 2010, Richards joined SUBVEX, an international collective of filmmakers based out of Paris.

He is also a pinhole photographer, filmmaker and founder of the international cinema movement Remodernist Film, and is the author of The Remodernist Film Manifesto, which has been translated into Polish, Turkish, Slovak and Traditional Chinese as well as being the subject of several theses and articles at universities in England, Germany, Turkey and Taiwan.

Richards currently lives in western Massachusetts.

I also noticed that you have experience in punk Victorian. Would you happen you have access to, or know a place that I could get access to rent or borrow Victorian clothing for cheep?

Thanks Again,

Hi Jesse,
Though I do have a car, some of the shooting locations will be in northern NH, so providing transportation for actors is not an ideal situation. Granby MA is about an hour and a half away, if you were able to make it up to Keene NH, i would be bale to provide transportation from there. Most of my shooting will be taking place over the next few Saturdays, however not all actors will be needed every sat.
I also posted more casting info on the event page, you may also check out that info.

Hey Jesse. Thanks for accepting the friend request.

I just wanted to introduce myself, and let you know what I do. I'm an LA Actor, Host, Voice Actor, and Producer. I teach a Business of Acting Workshop nationally and I coordinate Casting Director workshops with LA Casting Talent. I visit the Boston area 3 times a year (I'm originally from Everett), and am building a nice community of actors that have attended the workshops. Saturday is for some people, Sunday is for some people. Both days are for everyone ;) So I hope you accept my friend request, so I can learn a bit about your acting career.

And believe it or not, I am doing my best to find the actors that are interested in the workshops. I do not have the time to solicit people who aren't interested. So please let me know how you feel. And feel free to ask me any questions about what I do. Anytime.

Here is the Facebook event page for the next ACTORS2LA Boston workshops on Sept 25-26.

Thanks so much for your time. Check out my website when you can for more information.

Regards,

Chris Ciulla
