I wanted to extend a sincere Thank You to the members of OurFilmSpace for your contributions to the filming of Grown Ups, The Zookeeper, and The Social Network.
I was first brought to the Boston film community the summer of 2008, when a producer asked me to come and cast background performers for the film Surrogates and returned again with the gang from Happy Madison to work on Grown Ups and The Zookeeper. The responses from people eager to participate was amazing. When I arrived this past April I had zero headshots and by the end of June I had about 8,000 and it only continued to grow.
This site was a great resource not only for background performers but for principals as well. When I started principal casting for The Social Network, this was the one of the first places I posted my breakdown.
With a staff of three, my office placed several thousand actors in the Happy Madison films. Thank you again for submitting yourselves and being an integral part of the process of filmmaking. I have worked in both New York and Los Angeles for several years and am happy to report that there is a wealth of talented people in Boston. I am currently back in New Orleans as the casting director for a new HBO series TREME that begins airing on HBO this spring, but hopefully my travels will bring me back to New England soon.
